In April 2024, the Child and Family Services (CFS) Department partnered with the Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP) Department to launch the Youth Storyteller Contest, an initiative designed to encourage and promote culture through storytelling.
The contest invited young voices to share their stories, connecting tradition and creativity while celebrating Indigenous identity and expression.
We are proud to announce that Cali Campbell, a 10-year-old from Alexander First Nation, won 1st place in the contest!
Cali’s story stood out for its creativity, cultural connection, and heartfelt message. Congratulations to Cali for inspiring others through storytelling and representing the strength and pride of youth in our Nations.
Yellowhead Tribal Council extends thanks to all participants, families, and departments who made this initiative possible.
