QUALIFICATIONS: MUST BE A STUDENT
- Must be willing to sign ‘Oath of Confidentiality’
- Must have a computer at home
- Must be a student in the 2022-2023 year
- Must be returning to school in the 2022-2023 year
- Must be between the ages of 15-30
- Must have an interest in computer technology and/or communications
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

INTERPERSONAL - ability to communicate effectively, ability to relate well to others, or “people skills”, It’s important to be able to build and maintain relationships, and be able to recognize and acknowledge the value of differing perspectives.
COLLABORATION - the ability to work with others toward a common goal, able to work as a team, recognize your own strengths and weaknesses so you know how you can best contribute, as well as be aware of how you can bring out the best in others
TIME MANAGEMENT - meet assignment deadlines, demonstrated time management skills, organize your time, prioritize responsibilities, able to multi-task or focus on the task at hand
ADAPTABILITY - a willingness to become familiar with the Yellowhead Tribal Council’s services is definitely viewed as an asset

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY- ability to navigate basic productivity software
DATA ENTRY INTERN (5 Positions)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Entering and importing specific data into YTC database software
- Preparing, sorting and uploading documents for data entry
- Ensuring the accuracy of the data is correct
- Resolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information to complete the file
- Creating data backups as part of a contingency plan
- Responding to information requests from authorized users
- Testing new database systems and software updates before the official module launch
COMMUNICATIONS INTERN (5 Positions)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in maintaining web content and executing social media strategies ∙ Assist with the coordination of special events (e.g. special events, virtual information sessions)
- Draft and edit communications copy (e.g. website, press releases, publications, social media posts)
- Film and edit videos for YouTube channels and other social media ∙ Assist in maintaining web content and executing social media strategies
- Work with various departmental teams in creating and sending regular email broadcasts around content ideas
- Track key social media analytics of the company including the professional networking company stats and other analytics monthly
- Set up and manage the image-sharing account of a company and post interesting photos regularly

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INTERN (5 Positions)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems. ∙ Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support. ∙ Organize and maintain IT resources.
- Lend IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and data center management.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (5 Positions)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Provide general support to visitors
- Provide information by answering questions and requests
- Cover the reception desk when required
- Maintain computer and manual filing systems
- Answer telephone calls and pass them on
- Photocopy and print out documents on behalf of other colleagues
- Provide polite and professional communication
- Implement clerical duties and administrative processes
Rate of Pay: $15/hr
Start Date: June 6th, 2022
End Date: August 26th, 2022 (12 weeks)
