Yellowhead Tribal Council (YTC), Health and Safety - YTC is an organization that represents four First Nations (Alexander First Nation, Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, O’Chiese First Nations and Sunchild First Nation) as a political advisory body. YTC has been in operations for over 40 years and delivers programming and services to each Nation.
COVID-19 has brought unprecedented precautionary measures to our personal and work lives. To increase the safety and wellbeing of all employees, students, volunteers, Elders, Nation members and guests, YTC has implemented routine daily sterilization of all common surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails and common use areas such as the photocopier and lunchrooms.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Child and Family Services & Wellness Initiatives, the Pandemic Porter will complete routine sterilization of surface areas within the YTC Edmonton office location. The Porter will also assist with the routine cleaning of offices, lunchrooms, washrooms, stairwells and other areas outlined by the Assistant Director.
The Pandemic Porter may also be asked to assist with the Health and Safety Monitor during their absence or to cover period breaks.
The responsibilities outlined above may change as the position and the pandemic evolve.
