facilitate the implementation and delivery of the Indigenous Social Work Degree at multiple sites (currently offered at Blue Quills, and proposed for Maskwacis, Old Sun, Red Crow, and Yellowhead Colleges);
work with the Program Advisory Council comprised of social workers from the member Colleges;
contribute to the accreditation process and agreement between National Accreditation Board (NIAB) and Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE);
contribute to all facets of development and on-going support of the program including curriculum development;
work with UnBQ IT staff to update the IBSW website; and
instruct specific social work courses as required.
Qualifications:
Must have a Masters level degree, preferably in Social Work;
Must be eligible for RSW registration with Alberta College of Social Workers;
Must have experience teaching in a secondary, community college or alternative educational setting;
Must have experience in program development;
Must have experience in working with diverse Indigenous communities;
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
Must have a valid driver’s license.
