The Health and Safety Monitor is responsible for providing health controls and safety services for the Yellowhead Tribal Council (YTC) and (Alexis, Sunchild, O’Chiese, Alexander) AOSA Building. The Health and Safety Monitor contributes to the overall safety of all YTC employees and guests by effectively ensuring all COVID 19 measures are being followed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate records of everyone entering and exiting the building.
- Respond to any health and safety issues identified by those entering and exiting the building.
- Develop, maintain, and implement timely and accurate screening controls such as
- temperature-taking of all that enter the building
- Ensure that health and safety procedures are being implemented daily
- Distribution of PPE for all guests and staff i.e. masks, gloves, and face shields, when
- required.
- Protection of team and guests, ensuring COVID safety recommendations, both provincial and
- federal legislation and recommendations are followed
- Provide directive communication to guests
- Ensure the behaviour of all guests and team members is respectful and reflects appropriate
- management action to maintain an energetic, healthy, enjoyable, and safe atmosphere for all
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a security or conflict management role is an asset
- Excellent communication and management of people
- Respectful towards guests and team members
- Able to make professional and effective decisions under pressure that are in the best
- interests of our company and the safety of our guests
- Clear and legible handwriting
- Basic computer knowledge
- Attention to detail
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
