Probation, court worker, and other correctional services for YTC First Nation members.
Yellowhead Tribal Community Corrections Society (YTCCS) has been in existence for 32 years since its inception on November 26, 1990, when it became incorporated as a non-profit society under the Societies Act of Alberta. The mandate of YTCCS is to facilitate the delivery of traditional and culturally sensitive programs and services to meet the present and future needs of each YTC First Nation member community in Community Corrections and Court Work services.
YTCCS has grown from humble beginnings into a recognized and credible organization in the effective delivery of a range of correctional services for member YTC First Nations of Alexander First Nation, Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, O'Chiese First Nation, Sunchild First Nation and including Enoch Cree Nation.
Today, YTCCS provides Court Worker Services, Indigenous Bail Court Worker Services housed out of the Edmonton Remand Centre (ERC), and FASD Mentorships through the Kind Heart Mentor program.
