YTC hosts a gala to celebrate leaders of the past and the present

November 2, 2023 - Treaty No. 6 Territory: Yellowhead Tribal Council is hosting a celebration party, tickets to the event are on sale now. The Celebration Gala will be a black-tie event to honor leaders of the past and the present and celebrate our years of achievement.  

Doors open at 5 p.m. Thursday, December 21 at River Cree Resort & Casino (Ballroom) located at 300 East Lapotac Boulevard, Enoch, AB T7X 3Y3. Live entertainment, we welcome the incredibly talented Firestone Band featuring Shaganappi Seneca. There will be door prizes, 50/50 cash raffles and more!  

Purpose 

The Gala offers YTC the opportunity to celebrate our years of achievement and overall contributions with community partners, member Nations and friends. This Gala culminates years of various celebrations in each First Nation and highlights our commitment to providing effective and efficient Nation-building advisory, programs and services. 

During this event, we wish to fundraise for the Yellowhead Tribal College, which is committed to student success, providing a high-quality education grounded in our First Nations cultures and languages, for Indigenous and non-Indigenous students alike. All donations are made to the Yellowhead Indigenous Education Foundation, which is the charity organization that helps provide Indigenous education and promotion of lifelong learning in our Nation members’ languages, cultures, traditions, and practices.

Purchase Tickets 

Individual tickets are $120 per person and a VIP table for 10 people is $1200 and those organizations will be acknowledged during the event. Dinner is included with the ticket. There will be door prizes, 50/50 cash raffles, dance, and more. The last day to purchase table tickets is December 8, 2023. Background

The Yellowhead Tribal Council was formed in 1977 to work collectively on political issues and to facilitate the delivery of programs and services for its four member Nations: Alexander First Nation, Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, O’Chiese First Nation and Sunchild First Nation.
