Dear Sir or Madam, 

We are pleased to present the first annual Yellowhead Tribal Council and lyiniw Education Fundraiser in support of Indigenous students. The event will be hosted at the prestigious Black Bull Golf Resort, only a short 40-minute drive south of Edmonton located in Pigeon Lake, AB. The Yellowhead Tribal Council owns and operates the Yellowhead Tribal College. Established in 1986, the College is the primary tenant in the Orange Hub within Edmonton's west Jasper place. Students, Indigenous and non-Indigenous, enroll in their choice of 14 post-secondary academic programs that also privileges Indigenous cultures, land-based learning and the ancestral languages of the Cree, Stoney/Nakoda and Anishinaabe/Saulteaux peoples of Treaty Six; view at https://ytced.ab.ca/programs-courses/programs/. 

Your support will contribute to providing scholarships and purchasing laptops for post-secondary students. During these unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has impacted many First Nations post-secondary students by shifting from in-class to on-line learning: this shift has caused many hardships for our students. The majority of students do not have laptops and or access to the internet to enroll and or successfully complete their program of studies; any assistance for first nations post-secondary students will be greatly appreciated. 

Please accept this letter as your invitation to participate in the event along with our formal request for a contribution. Enclosed you will find an entry form. Please have it filled out and submitted no later than September/14/2020. There are also donation opportunities available, please see the donation form linked.
